Women’s Basketball Falls to Yeshiva on the Road on Tuesday Night

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball team was defeated by the Maccabees of Yeshiva University on Tuesday night, 76-30.
 
As a team, Old Westbury shot the ball just 19 percent from the floor and 47 percent from the free-throw line. The Panthers went 0-8 from behind-the-arc.
 
For the Panthers, Sakhmet Lewis led the way as she scored 19 points, and recorded five rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Shanya Hicks finished the night with six points, and five rebounds. Brianne Belizaire recorded four points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

Next up, the Panthers will return home for a matchup against the Dolphins of the University of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday, February 15. That game will tip-off at 11 AM in the Clark Center Gymnasium. Prior to the game, the Panthers will honor their senior student-athlete, Amanda Chasan.
