The SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball team was defeated by the Valiants of Manhattanville University, 96-45, from the Clark Athletic Center. The loss sets the Panthers at 2-17 on the season and 1-16 in Skyline Conference play while Manhattanville improves to 19-4 (17-1 Skyline).
Endya Greene led Old Westbury with 17 points and added seven rebounds.
Sakhmet Lewis followed with 11 points and had six rebounds.
Aissata Kone rounded out the scoring with 10 points and led with two steals.
Korrina Plair topped the Panthers with 14 rebounds. Sonaisa Walker also had two steals.
Old Westbury struggled through the first half after falling behind 25-0. After 20 minutes of play, Manhattanville led 43-18. The Panthers improved in the third frame, scoring 18 points in the 10 minute period, including eight from Greene.
The Panthers kick off the final week of the regular season on Monday, February 16, against the University of Mount Saint Vincent at 6:00 PM from the Clark Athletic Center.
