Panthers Drop Skyline Road Contest to Farmingdale State

Old Westbury gets goals from Kunen and Campbell while going 13-for-21 on clears

Farmingdale, NY - The SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse team continued Skyline Conference play on Saturday evening, traveling to Farmingdale State College in search of its first win of the season. The Panthers fell to the Rams, 19-2, in conference action on the road.

Despite the loss, Old Westbury showed progress in several areas throughout the contest. The Panthers finished 13-for-21 on clears, including a perfect 3-for-3 mark in the third quarter, while also converting on their lone free-position opportunity of the game.

Katherine Campbell and Ciana Kunen each scored for Old Westbury. Campbell netted her first goal of the season in the second quarter off an assist from Katia Maisonneuve to put the Panthers on the board. Kunen followed with her team-leading eighth goal of the season in the third quarter, converting on a free-position chance.

Maisonneuve finished with the Panthers' only assist of the evening. Jara Gonzalez played all 60 minutes in goal and totaled seven saves while also collecting four ground balls.
