Annandale-on-Hudson, New York - The Panthers fell short to the Raptors of Bard College on Wednesday.
Bard struck first in the ninth minute when Devon Green found the back of the net off an assist from Aren Andrews at 8:34. The goal gave the Raptors a 1-0 advantage that they carried into halftime.
Despite trailing the Panthers generated several shots in the opening half.
Andy Chacho would play the first half with only allowing one goal and 3 saves. Bard goalkeeper Jake Sudit stopped two Old Westbury shots in the opening 45 minutes.
Bard doubled its advantage early in the second half. Emmett Olson scored in the 56th minute to put the Raptors ahead, 2-0. Olson finished the night with two shots on goal in addition to his goal. The Raptors added another goal just 10 minutes later. Henry Skeltis scored at 66:06 off an assist from Marios Savva, extending Bard's lead to 3-0.
Bard's defense held Old Westbury scoreless over the final 90 minutes, as Sudit recorded six second-half saves to complete the shutout.
With this the Panthers move to 1-1-1 on the season and look to take on Brooklyn College on the road and improve their record.
