Box Score OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — The SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball team earned a convincing 3-0 victory over Medgar Evers College on Tuesday evening at the Clark Athletic Center.
Old Westbury controlled the match from the opening serve, jumping out to a 25-6 first-set victory. The Panthers continued their strong play in the second set, limiting Medgar Evers to just seven points before closing out the set, 25-7. Old Westbury completed the sweep with another dominant performance in the third, 25-8.
Kasey Coppola led the Panthers offensively with nine kills on 11 attacks while hitting an impressive .727. Nicole Zugnoni added three kills and recorded a team-high 13 service aces, while Katia Gomez contributed seven aces and seven assists.
Old Westbury received contributions throughout the lineup, with Akniya Macarthur recording three kills on five attacks and Paige Herbert adding three kills. The Panthers finished the match with 26 kills, 25 assists and 32 service aces while hitting .426 as a team.
