SEAFORD, N.Y. — The Old Westbury women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday evening at Panther Park.
After a scoreless opening half, Sarah Lawrence broke through early in the second period when Chloe Barker scored in the 49th minute off an assist from Katey Beaver to give the Gryphons a 1-0 lead.
Old Westbury goalkeeper Kristen Gallagher kept the Panthers within striking distance throughout the contest, finishing with seven saves. The Panthers were unable to find the equalizer, however, as Sarah Lawrence added two more goals late in the match.
Camila Vasquez extended the Sarah Lawrence lead in the 84th minute before Whitney Erickson added another goal less than four minutes later to make it a 3-0 game.
The Panthers look to bounce back as they take on USMMA on Saturday October 3 on the road.
