Sam Braverman enters his first season as SUNY Old Westbury assistant baseball coach in 2017.
Braverman played four seasons in right field for Briarcliffe College, where he helped lead the program to back-to-back United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championships in 2010 and 2011. During the 2010 season, Braverman was recognized as a USCAA All-American. He also served as team captain during the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Braverman studied business marketing at Briarcliffe, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2012.     Â
The Westbury, New York native earned all-league honors as a senior captain at W.T. Clarke High School in 2007.
Since 2012, Braverman has played in the Long Island MABL.
