Neale Johnson

Neale Johnson is second stint as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Old Westbury and his fifth year overall. Johnson returned to Old Westbury for the 2009-10 season, assisting Head Coach Bernard Tomlin in guiding the squad to a regular season Skyline Conference Championship. Old Westbury advanced to the conference championship game and earned the top seed in the 2009-10 ECAC Metro Region Championship Tournament. 

In 2006-07, Johnson helped guide the Panthers to an 18-11 overall record and a 12-4 mark in the Skyline Conference, advancing to the Championship game and making an appearance in the ECAC Metro Region Championship Tournament. 

Johnson's on-court duties as an assistant to Tomlin include forward and center development, as well as overall offensive and defensive strategies. Off the court, Johnson's responsibilities consist of recruiting, scouting and film exchange, and other tasks involved in the day-to-day operations of the men's basketball program. 

Johnson's prior experience includes a 12-year tenure as an assistant coach at Malverne High School, where he helped the Mules to five Nassau County Championships and two appearances in the New York State finals. 

A graduate of Franklin Pierce College, Johnson averaged 13.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, helping his team to two National Basketball Tournaments in 1984 and 1986. He was inducted into the Franklin Pierce College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
