Ashley Dell

Ashley Dell enters her first season as SUNY Old Westbury assistant softball coach in 2017.  She arrives at Old Westbury after spending the 2015-16 season as assistant softball coach at Northport-East Northport High School in Northport, New York.  

Dell led the Valiants to three-straight Freedom Conference Championship appearances during her four years as a catcher at Manhattanville College.  She started in all but three games during her 134-game playing to produce a .307 batting average (119-for-387) with 10 home runs, 61 RBI and 51 runs scored.  Dell, a two-time All-Freedom Conference selection (2010, 2012), set careers highs as a senior in batting average (.423), slugging percentage (.640), hits (47), runs (24), home runs (4), , RBI (24), triples (2) and  doubles (8). 

She graduated from Manhattanville in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree as a double major in early childhood education and sociology.  In December 2016, Dell earned an advanced graduate certificate in coaching from Stony Brook University.  She also became New York State certified in 2013 in early childhood education (birth-grade 2).  

The Huntington Station, New York native graduated from Huntington High School in 2008 after earning all-league honors as a senior.
