Jimmy Kiriakos enters his first season as SUNY Old Westbury women’s soccer assistant coach in 2016.
"Kiriakos brings playing experience as well as the tactical dimension that will assist with the team's development," said SUNY Old Westbury head women's soccer coach Betty Bohringer.
Kiriakos opened his playing career at NCAA Division II Post University as a freshman during the 2006 season before transferring to compete at Division III New England College from 2009-11. During his time at NEC, Kiriakos totaled three goals and one assist in 51 games en route to earning second-team All-North Atlantic Conference (NAC) as a senior captain defender.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to assist in the development of our student-athletes both on and off the field," said Kiriakos.
Prior to graduating with his bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management in 2012, Kiriakos played outfield for the NEC baseball team.
Kiriakos earned his National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) diploma in July 2016, and also holds United States Soccer Federation (USSF) D, E and F licenses. He currently resides in Lindenhurst, New York.
