William Frohnhoefer enters his third year as SUNY Old Westbury's assistant women's soccer coach in 2019.

“I look forward to develop and prepare our student-athletes for success on and off the field,” said Frohnhoefer.  “Words cannot describe how excited I am to start coaching on the collegiate level.”

Frohnhoefer arrives at Old Westbury after leading the Island Trees High School boys junior varsity soccer team to an 8-3-3 record in his first season as head coach.  He also did a one-year stint in 2015 as the assistant boys varsity soccer coach at Malverne-East Rockaway High School.  Since 2013, Frohnhoefer has served as a trainer for Pro Soccer Kids.  In 2013, Frohnhoefer coached the U-9 Seaside Soccer boys program.

“Coach Frohnhoefer brings his playing, coaching and teaching experience to the collegiate level where he is eager to work collectively developing each individual player to create a successful team dynamic,” said SUNY Old Westbury head women's soccer coach Betty Bohringer.

The Syosset, New York native graduated from Mitchell College with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies in 2011.  Frohnhoefer led the Mariners to the postseason in all four years as a midfielder.  As a Mariner, Frohnhoefer totaled four goals and three assists during his 48-game playing career.  Frohnhoefer was also a two-year member (2008, 2011) of Mitchell’s men’s tennis team.

Frohnhoefer later earned his master’s degree in physical education from Adelphi University in 2015.  He also holds his United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Class E and F coaching licenses.
