Aly Ciccone enters her first season as SUNY Old Westbury assistant women's volleyball coach in 2017.
"I am excited to be a part of the program and help bring the Panthers to the next level," said Ciccone.
Ciccone played one season at Buffalo State before earning her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Rhode Island in 2017. During her lone season at Buffalo State, Ciccone was a member of the program’s first-ever SUNYAC Championship in 2013.
“Ally is a wonderful addition to our program,” said Borawski. “She not only has the playing experience, but her educational background will help our program immensely.”
A native of Huntington, New York, Ciccone helped lead Elwood-John Glenn High School to back-to-back New York State Class B championships in 2011 and 2012. She was also the recipient of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Sportsmanship Award in 2011.
From 2011-15, Ciccone served as an assistant coach at Elwood Junior Diggers Volleyball Camp, where she provided summer training for high school athletes.
