Anastasia Williams joined the SUNY Old Westbury women’s basketball staff under Head Coach Joe Pellicane in 2025, bringing the perspective of a Division I post player and a seven-year international professional career. Williams has competed professionally in Mexico, Kosovo, Portugal, Israel, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Peru, earning two MVP honors and a European championship while leading multiple leagues in rebounding.
Before turning pro, Williams played Division I basketball at Fairleigh Dickinson University (2012–2016), where she ranked among the Northeast Conference’s top rebounders. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and an MBA in Business Management from the University of Bridgeport.
At Old Westbury, Williams assists with player development, recruiting, scouting, and culture building. In addition to coaching, she serves the campus community in admissions, helping prospective student-athletes and families navigate the college process.
A Long Island native, Williams began her basketball career at St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, New York, where she scored 982 career points and grabbed 1,008 career rebounds, averaging 22.5 points and 16.8 rebounds per game. She earned multiple honors including Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, and All-League recognition.
