Tommy Beirne joins the Panthers after spending the last four seasons as the head baseball coach at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Since taking over the Panthers program, he has developed multiple CUNYAC and Region XV All-Stars, including the school’s first All-Region First Team honoree in more than a decade and the 2nd Regional Gold Glove winner in school history.
Under his leadership, BMCC has built a strong culture of accountability, development, and sportsmanship—earning recognition with the CUNYAC Officials Sportsmanship Award in 2023–24. While helping these players move onto other four year programs spanning across the DI, DII and DIII landscapes.

Beirne is trainer and advisor at Next Level Baseball on Long Island. He is also involved with the Headfirst companies out of Washington D.C. helping hundreds of student-athletes develop into collegiate athletes over the last 10 years between both programs.

As a player Beirne started with Region XV earning honors at Nassau Community College and then playing in the Coastal Plains League for the Wilmington Sharks hitting .375 and compiling a fielding percentage of .994.

Beirne finished  his degree at Adelphi University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
He currently resides on Long Island with his wife Deb and his kids Kiersten (LIU Track), Dylan (Adelphi Baseball) , Emalie and Lulu the dog.
