OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old
Westbury Men's Soccer team extended their winning streak to six
games with Skyline Conference opponent, Purchase College, 3-0 at
Panther Park on Thursday. Old Westbury improves to 9-3
overall and 6-0 in conference play, while Purchase falls to 4-11
overall and 2-4 in conference.
It wasn't until the 66:23 mark when John Senatore broke open a
scoreless game off a pass by Kimron Annikie, giving the Panthers a
1-0 lead. Moments later at the 69:46 mark, Senatore launched
a shot from 25 yards out that landed past the outstretched arms of
Purchase goalie Noah Colantuono. Ragi Burton an insurance
goal at the 79:49 mark when Justin Leakey found him within point
blank range to give Old Westbury a three goal cushion.
Old Westbury goalie Brandon DeNoyer recorded the shutout, as he
made nine saves. DeNoyer improved his record to 3-1 on the
season and allows an average of .71 goals per game.
Old Westbury returns to action on the road against conference
opponent St. Joseph's College (LI) on Saturday, October
20th. Game time is slated for a 12:00 pm
