OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old
Westbury Men's Basketball team evened their record at 3-3 on the
season and remain unbeaten at 2-0 in conference action, defeating
Mount Saint Vincent at the Clark Athletic Center on Tuesday night,
80-60.  Mount Saint Vincent moves to 3-3 overall and 0-2 in
league play.
Old Westbury started the second half on a 15-4 run and never
looked back.  The Panthers built on an eight point lead at the
half, shooting 20 of 38 from the floor in the second half, to
outscore the Dolphins 47-35. 
"We demonstrated excellent effort on the defensive end," head
coach Bernard Tomlin said afterwards.  "Our seniors gave us
strong leadership."
Old Westbury was led by Garthlette James, who scored a game-high
22 points on 9 of 15 shooting from the floor.  James added 7
boards and 3 steals.  Anthony Stowe posted a double-double,
pouring in 19 points and pulling down 15 rebounds (7 offensive) to
go along with 2 steals.  Ian Johnson added 13 points, 4
assists and 4 steals while both Divine Jackson and Alanzo Phillips
grabbed 10 rebounds apiece.  Brandon Mays tallied 3 steals off
the bench.
Joe Cooke led Mount Saint Vincent with 12 points and Dino
Johnson added 10. 
Old Westbury out rebounded Mount Saint Vincent 54-28, including
23 offensive rebounds.  The Panthers shot 44 percent from the
field while holding the Dolphins to 30 percent
shooting.      
Old Westbury returns to action on Saturday as the Panthers stay
at home to play host to Farmingdale State.  Tip-off is slated
