Boxscore

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's soccer team poured on five first half goals to top Skyline Conference opponent, Mount Saint Vincent, 5-1 on Wednesday evening at Panther Park.  Old Westbury now sits at 7-7 on the season and 5-3 in conference action while Mount Saint Vincent College falls to 2-15 on the year and 2-6 in league play.

Junior Fabian Santibanez (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) netted a hat-trick in the first-half to seal the deal for the Panthers.  Santibanez put Old Westbury on the board in the seventh minute, when he finished a pass from junior Edwin Mejia (Uniondale, N.Y.) for his sixth goal of the season.  Just over four minutes later sophomore Justin Leakey (Baldwin, N.Y.) doubled the Old Westbury lead to score his ninth goal of the season.  Santibanez added his second goal of the game when freshman Timothy Munzing (Oceanside, N.Y.) found him for his seventh goal of the season at the 17:13 mark, to put the Panthers up, 3-0.  Santibanez registered a hat-trick when senior John Senatore (Ridge, N.Y.) slotted a pass to him on a breakaway and finished for his eighth score of the season.  The Panthers were able to tack on another goal before halftime when Justin Leakey gained possession of a pass from Mejia to breakaway for the score.  For the sophomore Leakey, it was his team-leading, tenth goal of the season.

Mount Saint Vincent battled back and scored at the 65:24 mark on a goal by J.R. Downey assisted by Joe Machado, but Old Westbury responded with stellar play on the defensive end to take the momentum away from the Dolphins.  Although Mount Saint Vincent scored the final goal, Old Westbury secured the 5-1 victory.

In goal for Old Westbury, sophomore Darian Bryan (Elmont, N.Y.) earned the starting nod and registered two saves. William Raftery was in goal for Mount Saint Vincent and recorded seven saves.  Old Westbury out-shot Mount Saint Vincent, 21-8, and held an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks.

Senior's Ragi Burton (Antigua, West Indies), Tom Cully (Valley Stream, N.Y.), Alishan Halajian (Doha, Qatar), Jorge Roman (Yonkers, N.Y.) and John Senatore were honored during the annual Senior Game presentation prior to kickoff.
