MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO CITY TECH

BROOKLYN, N.Y.-The SUNY
College at Old Westbury men's soccer team were stunned on the road
at non-conference opponent City Tech, 2-0 on Wednesday evening in
Brooklyn, New York. Old Westbury falls to 2-4 on the season
while City Tech moves to 2-4 overall.
Sophomore goalkeeper Darian Bryan (Elmont, N.Y.) held City Tech
scoreless until the 24:51 mark when Noah Miller broke loose to
score the first goal of the game as Nestor Paredes found him for
the score. Marcin Baran added an insurance goal at the 81:50
mark to give City Tech a 2-0 lead.
Old Westbury was unable to convert shots into goals as the
Panthers had a 8-4 corner kick advantage and were out shot
36-33. Senior John Senatore (Ridge, N.Y.) led the Panthers
with three shots while junior Fabian Santibanez (Oyster Bay, N.Y.)
and freshman German Parodis (Mardel Plata, Argentina) had
two. Darian Bryan totaled six saves while City Tech
goalkeeper Ariel Mejia made seven stops to record the shut
out.
The Green and Ivory will be back on the pitch on Saturday,
September 27th when they welcome Bard College to Panther
