BETHPAGE, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) - The SUNY College at
Old Westbury men's golf team finished fourth in the Farmingdale
State Skyline Invitational at Bethpage State Park - Red Course in
Bethpage, New York on Friday afternoon.
Farmingdale State won the six-team tournament with a 301
9+21). St. Joseph's College-L.I. was second at 318 (+38),
NYU-Poly third at 343 (+63), Old Westbury fourth at 360 (+80) and
Purchase College fifth at 370 (+90) while Sage Colleges did not
finish.
Jim McLaughlin and Andrew Schwartz for Farmingdale State were
co-medalists at 74 (+4).
Old Westbury freshman Matthew Lester (Dix Hills, NY) shot an 82
(+12) to tie for ninth place. Senior Steve Stumper (East
Meadow, NY) was tied for 14th place at 85 (+15), junior
Amanda Laib (Massapequa Park, NY) finished 19th at 96
(+26), sophomore Brian Burris (Tehachapi, CA) was 20th
at 97 (+26) and senior Kurt Evans (Pleasant Valley, NY) placed
23rd at 100 (+30)
The Panthers return to action for the Skyline Conference
Championship (Oct. 18-19) at Eisenhower State Park - Red Course in
