OLD WESTBURY, NY
(www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer netted a first half goal by freshman Kelsey Durkot and was all the Panthers would need Sunday. The Panthers defeated the Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raider 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Panther Park.

With the win, OW (8-5) set a program record with straight wins and tied a record with their eighth victory of the season. Rutgers-Newark slipped to 4-7-3 on the season with the loss.

The only goal of the match came when Kelsey Durkot blasted her third goal of the season past a leaping Kat Renteria at 18:25. Chynna Pitlock was solid in goal for OW, making two stops to earn her fifth shutout of the season. Pitlock's fifth shutout tied a program record that was set by Jennifer Kupfer in 2009. Scarlet Raider keeper Kat Renteria suffered the loss after allowing one goal and making five saves.
