OLD WESTBURY, NY (
www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's soccer team fell to the Kean Cougars, 2-1, in double overtime in a non-conference battle at Panther Park Friday night. Old Westbury slipped to 8-6 on the season while Kean improved to 8-4-1.
Old Westbury and Kean battled for 106 minutes before Kean's Tiago Goetzke broke the 1-1 tie and gave the Cougars their eighth win of the season. Kharee Winsolow picked up an assist on the play.
OW took a 1-0 lead off a corner kick when

Hansel Riddock for the header goal at 71:04, but the Cougars quickly responded moments later at 79:33. Kevin Mayaka evened the score when he found the back of the net on an assisted effort from Danny Olivo and Tiago Goetzke.

Pablo Diaz made six saves for the the Panthers, and Kean's Tyler Callahan tallied 13 saves. OW held the advantage in shots, 27-13, shots on goal (14-8) and corner kicks (5-4).

YESHIVA MACCABEES UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 14), taking on the Yeshiva Maccabees in a Skyline Conference showdown at Tibbetts Brook Park. Panthers and Maccabees kick-off at 8 p.m. in Yonkers, New York.
