(www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's basketball suffered a 96-76 setback on Thursday evening at home to Skyline Conference foe, Mount Saint Vincent. OW fell to 1-1 in the Skyline Conference and 1-2 overall while the Dolphins improved to 3-0 and 6-0, respectively.

Lester Prosper again led OW on offense with 19 points (7-10 FG) and 14 boards. He added his second five-block game of the season. Jamal Little followed with 13 points and three steals. Frantz Granjean posted a season-high 12 point, seven rebounds (five offensive) and two blocked shots. Andre Martin contributed 10 points, four rebounds, two steals and one sway in 18 minutes of action. Hilton Sneed chipped in with five rebounds, four points and two steals off the bench for OW.

Omonya Onwe was one of four players in double-digit scoring as he led the Dolphins with 24 points. Alvin Pegues (15 points), Cody Gauvard (15 points) and Dino Johnson (12 points) all reached double-digit points.

Though the Panthers never had the lead in the second half, the team last held the advantage with 2:54 remaining in the opening half. MSV led by as many as 23 points in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 56-44 over the final 20 minutes.

The Dolphins outshot OW 54.6 percent-to-34.1 percent in the second half, in addition to 17-of-20 shooting from the line. For the game, MSV outdid the home squad from the floor (48.6 percent-to-40.8 percent), rebounds (38-to-37) and turnovers (18-to-28). The Dolphins shot better from long range (43.8 percent-to7.1 percent) while OW connected on 81 percent from the line, compared to 80.8 percent for MSV.

MOUNT SAINT MARY KNIGHTS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the court on Saturday (Dec. 4), taking on the Mount Saint Mary Knights in a Skyline Conference road battle in Newburgh, New York at 3:30 p.m.
