PANTHER BASEBALL TAKES DOWN ST. JOSEPH’S-L.I.; OW WILL FACE MOUNT SAINT MARY TONIGHT IN THE SEMIS

Old Westbury defeated St. Joseph’s-L.I., 7-5, and will face Mount Saint Mary at 7:45 p.m. in Farmingdale, New York

FARMINGDALE, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – Fourth-seeded SUNY College at Old Westbury score two runs in the eighth inning to take the lead for good in a 7-5 Skyline Conference Baseball Tournament victory over the St. Joseph's-L.I. Eagles on Saturday afternoon at the Farmingdale State Baseball Complex in Farmingdale.  

With the win, Old Westbury advances to the semi-final game against the third-seeded Mount Saint Mary Blue Knights today at 7:45 p.m. in Farmingdale. Old Westbury's victory bounced St. Joseph's-L.I. out of the tournament.  Farmingdale State advanced to the championship game and will take on the Old Westbury / Mount Saint Mary winner on Sunday, May 2 at noon and 3:30 p.m. (if necessary) in Farmingdale. 

Mount Saint Mary swept the Panthers 11-9 and 8-2 on April 11 in Old Westbury.
