JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's volleyball team traveled to Jersey City, New Jersey to take part in the New Jersey City tri-match Friday evening against the New Jersey City Gothic Knights and Catholic Cardinals.

The Panthers lost to the hosts, 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-14), and closed out its non-conference schedule with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-10) setback to the Catholic Cardinals (20-14).  With the results, the Panthers now sit a 6-18 heading into Sunday's season finale at Skyline Conference foe, Mount Saint Mary.

In the finale against Catholic, Small used 11 kills and 15 digs to record her ninth double-double of the season for Old Westbury.  Small rang up three aces and Brown chipped in with 13 assists.  Allie Giancola manufactured 15 digs followed by Derisma's eight.   Catholic, who led from whistle to whistle, was paced by Audrey Bizak with a .600 hitting percentage to nail down nine kills while Mary Paige Nesfeder hit .500 to go with 11 kills.  Colleen Farley dished out 32 assists and Michelle Bouchard scooped up 18 digs.  Farley, Bouchard and Herrington each served up three aces.  Catholic outhit the Panthers .306 (40 kills-10 errors-98 total attacks) to .000 (16 kills-16 errors-88 total attacks).
