Box Score HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's lacrosse team played it's first-ever road game on March 5.  Courtney Gallagher scored four of Panthers' five goals in a 21-5 setback to the Centenary Cyclones from Cyclone Field.  The loss drops Old Westbury to 0-2 on its young season, while Centenary improves to 2-0.

The Cyclones scored four unanswered goals to open the contest before Gallagher put Old Westbury on the board 6:27 into the contest.  Centenary took a 15-1 lead into the break.  The Cyclones added three more goals over the opening four minutes of the second-half to grab an 18-1 lead.  Gallagher scored with 20:57 left followed by Jessica Walker rattling the back of the net for her first goal of the season at the 19:35 mark.  Gallagher added two more goals over the final 14:29 as the Panthers were outscored 6-4 in the second-half.  

Sara Braverman showed composure in goal despite a constant onslaught of Cyclone shots and tallied 14 saves.  Walker picked up two ground balls and Gallagher led the Panthers with five shots. 
Centenary's Alysia Pinkerton netted six goals while Arden Wright, Nicole Judd and Brittlyn Dendy each scored three. Andrea Senkarik notched two saves in cage for the Cyclones.

Old Westbury trailed the shot count, 38-7, as well as in the ground ball battle, 34-11, The Panthers won 6-of-21 draw controls.

BARD RAPTORS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the field for a non-conference road battle on Friday (Mar. 8) evening, taking on the Bard Raptors in Kingston, New York.  Start time is slated for 6 p.m. from Dietz Stadium.
