Box Score ANNANALE-ON-HUDSON, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's lacrosse team closed out the first half with their lone goal of the game as the Bard Raptors rattled off eight-straight to open and close out the game en route to a 16-1 victory over the Panthers Thursday evening in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.  Caitlin Thomas scored her second goal of the season with 53 seconds remaining in the first-half to put Old Westbury on the board.  The loss moves Old Westbury to 2-13 on the season while Bard improved to 6-8.  

Brianna Bean opened the scoring 1:22 into the game as five different Raptors scored in the first-half, including two goals each by Bean, Mary-Elizabeth Clair and Stephanie LaMont.  Bard held a 27-4 first-half advantage in shots as Old Westbury goalie Sara Braverman stopped eight of them. 

LaMont added three more of her game high five goals to lead Bard's 8-0 scoring edge in the final 30 minutes. 

Old Westbury pressured Bard into 22 turnovers for the game and scooped up 26 ground balls.  Bard finished the game with a 37-9 edge in shots.  Jordan Schildt and JoAnna Kettell fired off two shots to pace Old Westbury.  Bard also outmuscled Old Westbury in draw controls, 17-2. 

Braverman recorded a program-best nine ground balls while Schildt and Courtney Gallagher each followed with five.  Braverman and Schildt both caused three turnovers.

Maddy Huggins made four saves to earn Bard's victory. 

KEAN COUGARS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action on Thursday (April 18) to clash with the Kean Cougars in Skyline Conference action in Union, New Jersey.  Opening draw is set for 7 p.m. from Kean Alumni Stadium.
