UNION, NJ (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's lacrosse team suffered a 16-4 setback on the road Thursday evening to the Kean Cougars in Skyline Conference action from Kean Alumni Stadium.  Old Westbury's loss moved them to 2-14 on the season and 1-8 in conference play while Kean improved to 11-5 and 6-3, respectively. 

Stephanie Tocko scored three of her game-high four goals in the opening 4:40 to put Kean in front early on.  JoAnna Kettell's goal with 23:48 remaining in the first half stopped a 4-0 run with her ninth goal of the season.  Monika Santelli scored her fifth goal of the season with 6:58 left in the first half to stop 7-0 Cougar run.  Kean added two more goals in the first-half to take a 13-2 lead into the break. 

Kean opened the second-half with three goals before Old Westbury got the final word by scoring twice and holding the Cougars scoreless over the final 11 minutes.  Kettell rattled the back of the cage with 10:41 left for her 10th goal of the season and Jordan Schildt registered her fourth goal of the season with 9:01 remaining to close out the scoring.  

Kettell's second multi-goal game of the season paced Old Westbury in scoring and shots (5).  Schildt also scooped up a team-high two ground balls.  Sara Braverman made eight stops in net for Old Westbury, of which seven came in the second-half.  Jules Keeley made one save after spending the opening 37:36 in Kean's cage. 

Kean held the advantage in shots (34-10), ground balls (23-8) and draw controls (16-6).    

MARITIME PRIVATEERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury closes out their inaugural campaign on Saturday (April 20) when they to clash with the Maritime Privateers in Skyline Conference action in Throggs Neck, New York.  Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. from Reinhart  Field.
