PATCHOGUE, NY 
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's lacrosse team was defeated by the Drew Rangers on Tuesday afternoon by score of 18-3 in a game at took place at Danzi Stadium in Patchogue, New Yok. Old Westbury's record is now 1-3 on the season while Drew sits at 1-2.

Drew struck early, scoring just 26 seconds into the game, but the Panthers fired back thanks to a goal exactly one minute later by Meaghan Haber to knot the game at one. The Rangers tallied two more goals over the next six minutes before Courtney Gallagher brought Old Westbury back within one at 19:38, but it would be the closest the Panther would come to claiming a lead.

The Rangers collected eight more goals before the first frame drew to a close and headed into the break up 11-2.

Drew again applied pressure early and scored just 34 seconds into the second half and went on to score six more before the end of regulation. Maria Dischley grabbed Old Westbury's last goal with 2:35 remaining.

Old Westbury worked well to draw 32 fouls and win 12-of-24 draw controls, but the Rangers held advantages in shots (28-6) and ground balls (26-13).

Dischley was the standout for the Panthers, registering a goal, in addition to setting career-highs with five groundballs, four draw controls and four caused turnovers. Haber also collected two ground balls and three draw controls. Keeper Jackie Cartagena made four saves.

Anna Fiorini had five goals for the Rangers while Krysta Cento added three goals and two helpers.  Gianna Minogue made three saves in net for Drew.

BARD RAPTORS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the field for a non-conference battle on Saturday (Mar. 15) against the Bard Raptors in Patchogue, New York.  Start time is slated for 6:30 p.m. from Danzi Stadium.
