Old Westbury started slow and missed its first six shots as Mount Saint Mary capitalized and took an early 8-0 lead.  With 17:03 left, Robinson dropped in a layup to put the Panthers on the board.  Robinson then found Pentz for a three pointer to make it an 8-5 game.  Moments later, Gallagher's layup tied the game at 14-all with 11:22 remaining.  Later in the half, Olivia Ilardi sank a pair of free throws to cut Old Westbury's deficit to three points (23-20) at the 5:12 mark.  Graham's free throws at 5:01 sparked an 11-2 Mount Saint Mary run before Alexander knocked down a jumper with 21 seconds left to cut Old Westbury's deficit to 10 points, making it a 34-24 game at the half.

Down 45-35, Gallagher's free throw at 13:02 kick-started a 14-3 Panther run to put Old Westbury on top for the first time with a 49-48 lead with 6:12 remaining.  Bridgid McNeill's free throws then gave Old Westbury a 57-54 lead before Scicutella's triple knotted the game at 57 with 3:21 left.  Lauren Romano hit a free throw with 2:51 showing to put the Knights up 58-57.  Gallagher then answered at 2:07 with a pair of free throws to give Old Westbury a 59-58 lead.  Mount Saint Mary closed out the game with a 5-1 run to preserve the win as Old Westbury missed its final seven field goal attempts over the final 1:44.
