OLD WESTBURY, NY ---
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) The SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer team rattled off five goals in the second half to secure a 6-3 non-conference home win Saturday afternoon against the Lehman Lightning from Panther Park.  With the win, Old Westbury evens up at 2-2 on the season, while handing Lehman (4-1) its first loss of the season.

Mayra Bonilla broke the scoring ice in the 18th minute to send the Panthers into the half with a 1-0 lead.  Bonilla bodied a cross by Dana Yool past Lehman goalie Stephanie Gonzalez for her second goal of the season.

Old Westbury doubled its advantage in the 48th minute when Bonilla finished Melissa Outsen's pass to make it a 2-0 game.  Outsen followed in the 50th minute with her second goal of the season by putting home a rebound for a 3-0 lead.  Daisy Gomez struck for the Lightning in the 55th minute to cut Old Westbury's advantage down to two goals.  Old Westbury answered 1:17 later when Lucia Mejia caused a turnover in the backfield and laced her first-career game-winning goal into the back of the net to extend the lead to 4-1.  Samantha Dias lined a free kick past Old Westbury goalie Mary Clark in the 59th minute to trim the Panthers' lead in half.  Old Westbury replied with goals in the 59th (Edania Martinez from Bonilla) and 74th minutes (Outsen from Mejia) to build a four-goal cushion before Lehman's Chelsey Harris scored at 74:02 to close out the scoring.

Despite falling short in the scoring column, Lehman won the battle in shots (15-13) and corner kicks (5-0).

Melissa Muller (1-2-0) made two first-half saves for the win before Clark stopped four saves and allowed three goals in the final stanza.  Gonzalez (4-1-0) and Renee Taylor each allowed three goals in net for Lehman.
