Balanced scoring leads @OW_Panthers Men’s Soccer to 3-2 win at Mount Saint Vincent

Old Westbury earned its second-straight Skyline Conference win to move up the standings

RIVERDALE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer stormed back to pick up a 3-2 Skyline Conference road win over the Mount  Saint Vincent Dolphins on Tuesday afternoon from Athletic Field at Marillac in Riverdale, New York.  Old Westbury (2-7-0) improves to 2-1-0 in the conference standings with its second-straight win, while Mount Saint Vincent (4-5-2) dipped to 0-2-2.

For the second-straight game, Dominick Guidice broke the scoring ice for the Panthers for the early lead.  Guidice's strike in the fifth minute was his sixth goal of the season.  Mount Saint Vincent answered back with Andrew Gomez's goal in the 23rd minute to send a tied game into intermission.

Jorge Quinones gave the Dolphins a 2-1 lead just 1:16 into second-half play by sneaking the go-ahead goal past Panther goalie Peter Sicardi.  Old Westbury responded 2:19 later as Jon Kerby put away his second goal of the season to make it a 2-2 game off Seaton Cole's first-career assist.  Eric Ragogna then sent a laser past a four-man wall into the back of the net off a free kick in the 64th for the Panthers' 3-2 final.

Sicardi (2-7-0) made 10 saves in a complete game effort as David Melchor (4-5-2) stopped one shot in defeat for the Dolphins.

Despite being outscored, Mount Saint Vincent finished with the edge in shots (32-10), shots on goal (10-4) and corner kicks (6-3).
