FARMINGDALE, NY ---
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball dominated play Friday afternoon to capture a convincing 73-48 Skyline Conference road victory over the Farmingdale State Rams inside Walter A. Lynch Sports Center.  The win snapped a four-game losing streak to the Rams to improve Old Westbury (14-3) to 9-1 in conference play while sending Farmingdale State (6-12) to 5-5.

Jasmine Robinson found Bridgid McNeill for a jumper to break the scoring ice for Old Westbury nine seconds into play.  Farmingdale State answered with a 5-0 run to take its largest lead of the game, 5-2.  McNeill later connected on two more points with 5:18 left in the stanza to put the Panthers up for good, 7-5, during a 17-3 run that closed out the final 7:20 of the first period.

Ruth Vargas' layup with 9:15 remaining put the Panthers ahead by 11 (21-10), a double-digit lead that Old Westbury would maintain over the final 39:15.  Old Westbury's first-half lead maxed out at 18 as Crystal Barnes dropped in a layup to take a 35-17 advantage into intermission.

Barnes opened the second-half scoring with a layup to extend the lead to 20 points (37-17) with 8:52 remaining in the third period.  Kimberly Guterman's jumper brought the Rams' deficit to 18 points before Old Westbury went up by 20 points over the final 28:27 off a layup by Tori Bellings.  Robinson's jumper with 22 seconds left gave Old Westbury its first 30-point lead of the game as the Panthers took a 58-27 advantage into the fourth.

Robinson converted on a pair of free throws with 7:11 remaining to extend the lead to a game-high 35 points (66-31).  Farmingdale State outscored Old Westbury 17-7 over the final 7:03 to make it a 25-point margin in favor of the Panthers.

Robinson poured in a game-high 17 points to lead the Panthers in scoring for fourth time in five games (ninth time this season).  She also added game-highs of six assists and six steals.  Barnes compiled 14 points, a career-high 26 rebounds (14 offensive), two blocks and two steals to register her ninth double-double of the season (19th career).  Vargas followed with 11 points while McNeill totaled 10 points, eight rebounds and tied a career-high with three steals.  Raven Pentz nabbed three steals and Alexis Lopez chipped in with two.

Despite giving up eight turnovers for the Rams, Camille Romero totaled a team-leading 11 points.
