OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer dominated non-conference play Monday with a 9-0 home win over the York College Cardinals (0-13-1) inside Panther Park.
Dominick Guidice got the scoring going in the third minute for Old Westbury (7-3-4) by finishing
Ryan Finnin's pass for his sixth-career game-winning goal.
Oscar Sosa then sent a long cross to Guidice to double Old Westbury's lead with a header past York goalie George Espinoza in the fifth minute. Moments later,
James Marchena found Finnin for Old Westbury's third goal at 9:29. In the 14th minute, Guidice secured his third-career hat trick off a feed from
Jon Kerby to make it a 4-0 game.
Fabrizio Chamorro then contributed two goals (30:51, 35:44) and
Chris Agbodoh (33:05) added one to send a 7-0 game into intermission.
Andy Martinez assisted on Agbodoh's goals in the 50th and 51st minutes to register his first-career hat trick.
Kevin Driscoll (1-0-0) faced one shot on the day to earn Old Westbury's shutout as Espinoza (0-3-0) made five saves in defeat for York.
In the end, Old Westbury held the edge in shots (32-1), shots on goal (15-0) and corner kicks (8-1).
ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE (L.I.) GOLDEN EAGLES UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains at home Wednesday (Oct. 12) for a Skyline Conference showdown at 4 p.m. with the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Golden Eagles inside Panther Park.
