SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer collected a big Skyline Conference victory Wednesday with a 3-2 double overtime decision at home over the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Golden Eagles (5-8-0, 4-3-0 Skyline) inside Panther Park.

Ronald Monge broke the scoring ice in the seventh minute after receiving a feed from Seaton Cole to give Old Westbury (8-4-3, 5-1-1 Skyline) a 1-0 advantage.  Rayneri Ruiz answered for St. Joseph's in the 16th minute by converting on a penalty kick past Panther goalie Mike Warren.  With 24 seconds left in the opening half, Justin Heredia found Shayne Johnson for the chip in goal to send the Golden Eagles into intermission with a 2-1 lead.

Old Westbury turned up the intensity in the second half as Chris Agbodoh sent a through ball to Dominick Guidice for the equalizer in the 72nd minute.  Unable to take back the lead in regulation, Old Westbury held a 17-11 shot advantage after 90 minutes of play.

The Panthers pressured Golden Eagle goalie Avery Gomez in the first overtime, but failed to convert on two shots that landed on target by Guidice and Cole.  Old Westbury continued to keep its foot on the gas in the 104th minute when James Marchena set Guidice up for his third consecutive game-winning goal to settle the 3-2 double overtime final.

In the end, Old Westbury held the advantage in shots (22-11) and shots on goal (9-4), while St. Joseph's controlled an 11-6 edge in corner kicks.

Warren (7-3-4) made two saves to secure Old Westbury's win as Gomez (5-8-0) stopped six shots for St. Joseph's
