OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball collected a 3-0 (25-8 ,25-18, 25-12) non-conference victory over the visiting Medgar Evers College Cougars (0-22) Thursday evening inside Clark Athletic Center.

Sofia Goris served nine-straight points late in the third set while racking up seven aces during that stretch to lead Old Westbury (2-14) to victory. Goris added nine assists and three kills to her statline. Amanda Neenan, Diana Amaya and Olivia O'Keefe each served four of Old Westbury's 20 aces on the day. Nikia Gardon nailed down five kills while O'Keefe and Marie McKenzie followed with three. McKenzie and Gardon both registered two blocks, and Gordon and Shanayia Lloyd scooped five digs apiece.

Adenike Akindude paced Medgar Evers with five kills, four assists and nine digs. Naomi Chandler chipped in with three kills and five digs.

In the end, Old Westbury hit .020 with 15 kills on 49 swings while Medgar Evers struggled to hit -.211 with 12 kills on 57 attempts.

LEHMAN COLLEGE LIGHTNING UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains at home Monday (Oct. 17) for a non-conference matchup with the Lehman College Lightning at 6 p.m. inside Clark Athletic Center.
