OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball hosted the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Golden Eagles and Farmingdale State College Rams Sunday for a Dig Pink Skyline Conference Senior Day showdown inside Clark Athletic Center.

Prior to opening serve versus Farmingdale State, senior Alicia Gewirtz (2015-16) was honored with Old Westbury's annual Senior Day Ceremony for her dedication to SUNY Old Westbury Athletics.

Old Westbury (3-19, 1-5 Skyline) lost in three sets to St. Joseph's (25-6, 25-7, 25-15) and Farmingdale State (25-13, 25-10, 25-22).

In the opener against St. Joseph's, Sofia Goris' four assists moved the Panther offense while Nikia Gardon added one helper. Gardon and Olivia O'Keefe each scooped six digs as Goris and Shanayia Lloyd had two apiece. Lloyd and Marie McKenzie each contributed a block assist while Goris and Gardon served both Old Westbury aces.

Kiersten Kissinger nailed down a match-high nine kills as Jessica Monteserrato and Courtney Wickline dished out 16 and 11 assists, respectively, to lead St. Joseph's. Jessica Nicholson served eight of the team's 26 aces.

Against Farmingdale State, O'Keefe totaled four kills on 14 swings to hit .214 while Goris dished seven assists to pace Old Westbury. Amanda Neenan served two of the team's four aces. Goris registered a team-best six digs, followed by four from Lloyd and Neenan. McKenzie totaled two blocks and two kills.

Barbara Wright registered 16 kills on 21 swings to hit .762 with the help of Lauren Anne Strezenec and Julia Hande, who dished out 21 and 15 assists, respectively. Strezenec, Hande and Christina Hickey all served four of the Rams' 13 aces.

YESHIVA UNIVERSITY MACCABEES UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury travels to ARC Arena at Baruch College to take on the Yeshiva University Maccabees in Skyline Conference play Thursday (Oct. 27) at 7 p.m.
