OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer collected a 6-0 Skyline Conference Senior Day victory over the visiting Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons (3-7-0, 1-4-0) Saturday afternoon from Panther Park.

Prior to opening kickoff, seniors Sara Bey (2013-16), Christine Fernandez (2013-16), Edania Martinez (2013-16), Lucia Mejia (2013-16), Melissa Outsen (2014-16), and Jessica Tuckruskye (2014-16) were honored with Old Westbury's annual Senior Day Ceremony for their dedication to SUNY Old Westbury Athletics.

Old Westbury (4-6-1, 2-4-0) was on full attack mode as Bey broke the scoring ice with the game-winning goal after receiving a feed from Outsten in the third minute of play. Bey then sent a long ball to Sarah Roslonowski in the 12th minute to double Old Westbury's scoring advantage. The Panthers closed out the first half with stellar defense to hold the Gryphons shotless with a 10-0 edge in attempts.

Sarah Lawrence opened the second half with an unlucky own goal in the 47th minute to extend the Panther lead to three. Martinez found the back of the net in the 70th minute by finishing Mayra Bonilla's corner to make it a 4-0 game. Old Westbury then scored on an own goal 52 seconds later before Cara Normile fed Tuckruskye to settle the 6-0 final in the 81st minute.

In the end, Old Westbury held the advantage in shots (19-2), shots on goal (11-0) and corner kicks (9-3).

Tuckruskye (1-3-0) and Mary Clark combined for the Old Westbury's third shutout of the season. Rachell Mosquera (3-6-0) turned away five shots in defeat for Sarah Lawrence.

WESTERN CONNECTICUT STATE COLONIALS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains at home Tuesday (Oct. 11) for a non-conference action at 4 p.m. with the Western Connecticut State Colonials inside Panther Park.
