BRONXVILLE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball traveled to Sarah Lawrence College Sunday afternoon for a Skyline Conference tri-match against the host Gryphons (12-6, 4-3 Skyline) and College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (8-10, 5-0 Skyline) in Bronxville, New York. Old Westbury (1-14, 1-3 Skyline) lost in three sets to Sarah Lawrence (25-21, 25-19, 25-22) and Mount Saint Vincent (25-12, 25-11, 25-15) inside Campbell Sports Center

In the opener against Sarah Lawrence, Ruth Vargas led the Panthers with seven kills, four aces, 14 digs (match-high) and three blocks. Sofia Goris chipped in with seven digs and moved the offense with 10 assists and two kills. Marie McKenzie added with two kills, two aces, three blocks and five digs while Shanayia Lloyd scooped 13 digs.

Ellen Vild nailed down a match-high 10 kills while CJ Kelley dished out a match-high 14 assist to lead Sarah Lawrence. Lauren Kilroy served match-high five aces. Kayla Zaffrullah and Clarisse Taboy each contributed 11 digs.

Against Mount Saint Vincent, Nikia Gardon produced 11 digs and five kills to pace Old Westbury. Goris totaled 11 assists and nine digs as McKenzie's three kills contributed to the offense.

Tara Maloney racked up a match-high 15 kills as Jessica Mascia handed out 16 assists to lead Mount Saint Vincent. Chrissy Sewell totaled nine digs and Nicole Henderson served six of the Dolphins 13 aces.

MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE COUGARS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns home Thursday (Oct. 13) for a non-conference matchup with the Medgar Evers College Cougars at 6 p.m. inside Clark Athletic Center.
