OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball outscored the visiting Yeshiva Maccabees by 37 points in the second half en route to winning their 10th straight game Thursday evening inside Clark Athletic Center.  Old Westbury (19-3) improved to 12-1 in conference play while sending the Maccabees (1-18) to 0-13. 

Old Westbury used a 12-3 run in the first quarter to go up 16-7 with 3:18 remaining.  Yeshiva closed out the final 2:01 with an 8-2 spurt as Old Westbury took a 20-17 lead into the second quarter. 

The Panthers led by as many as five points in the second quarter and settled for a 31-30 halftime lead. 

Old Westbury ran away with the game in the third quarter by outscoring the Maccabees by 21 points.  Olivia Ilardi's jumper at 9:05 sparked a 17-5 run that gave the Panthers a 13-point lead (50-37).  With 1:19 left in the third period, Monique Joseph dropped in a layup to give Old Westbury a 61-41 lead.

The Panthers' lead blossomed to a game-high 38 points off a 7-0 run to close out the final 1:58 of play.

Jasmine Robinson registered game highs of 23 points (9-of-16 FG) and six steals to pace the Panthers to victory.  Raven Pentz racked up 16 points (6-of-13 FG), 12 assists (one turnover) and a season-high five steals to record her eighth-career double-double.  Joseph finished with 13 points (6-of-12 FG) and tied a career high with four steals.  Ruth Vargas added nine points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Michal Alge led Yeshiva with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Simee Rosner recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds.  

Old Westbury shot 50.7 percent (38-of-75) from the field, 60 percent (6-of-10) from three-point territory and 56 percent (14-of-25) from the free-throw line.  By comparison, Yeshiva connected on 36.2 percent (21-of-58) from the floor, 12.5 percent (1-of-8) from beyond the arc and 75 percent (15-of-20) from the charity stripe.  Old Westbury won the boards battled, 43-33, scoring 17 second-chance points off 23 offensive rebounds.  Old Westbury also held the advantage in steals (20-11), assists (26-10), points in the paint (48-26) and second-chance points (17-13) while scoring 36 points off 31 Yeshiva turnovers.     

MOUNT SAINT VINCENT DOLPHINS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the road for Saturday's (Feb. 13) Skyline Conference showdown with the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins at 1 p.m. in Riverdale, New York.  Old Westbury will look to complete the series sweep of the Dolphins after claiming a 66-63 home win (Box Score) on December 12.
