MANHATTAN ---
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball jumped out  to an early 10-point lead and never looked back after earning Tuesday's 84-72 wire-to-wire Skyline Conference road win over the Yeshiva Maccabees inside Max Stern Athletic Center.  With the win, Old Westbury (16-7, 15-3 Skyline) has now swept five of the last six regular-season series versus Yeshiva (13-10, 11-7 Skyline).

P.J. Page scored 11 of Old Westbury's first 15 points as the Panthers jumped out to a 15-5 lead 5:14 into play.  Lylle Ryals then caught fire by netting 13 of Old Westbury's next 21 points to make it a 36-17 game with 9:37 left in the half.  Moments later, a jumper by Jamail Stanley extended the Panthers' margin to 20 points (40-20) with 7:05 remaining.  Yeshiva outscored Old Westbury 14-7 over the final 5:43 to trim its deficit to 13 points (47-34) at the half.

Old Westbury picked up right where they left off as Luckens Victor rattled home a jumper to cap a 13-4 run to stretch the lead to a game-high 22 points (62-40) with 14:57 showing on the second-half clock.  Yeshiva pulled within 11 points  (83-72) with 20 seconds remaining, but were unable to overcome the deficit.

Page registered 24 points (8-of-14 FG, 3-of-4 3FG) and six rebounds to lead the Panthers to victory.  Stanley finished with 14 points (5-of-10 FG), 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals to record his 10th double-double of the season.  Kaleem Edwards pulled down nine rebounds and directed the offense with a career-high eight assists.  Victor totaled 14 points (7-of-14 FG) and eight rebounds while Ryals and Keith Lackerson followed with 13 and 10 points, respectively.

In the end, Old Westbury hit on 50.8 percent (30-of-59 FG), 42.9 percent (6-of-14 3FG) from three-point range and 64.3 percent (18-of-28) from the free-throw line.  By comparison, Yeshiva shot 40.6 percent (26-of-64) from the floor, 37.5 percent (9-of-24) from beyond the arc and 73.3 percent (11-of-15) from the stripe.  Old Westbury won the boards battle, 44-32, scoring 11 second-chance points off 11 offensive rebounds.  The Panthers also held the advantage in assists (17-12) and blocks (4-2).

FARMINGDALE STATE RAMS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns home Thursday (Feb. 18) for a Skyline Conference matchup with the Farmingdale State Rams at 6 p.m. inside Clark Athletic Center.  Old Westbury will look to complete the series sweep of the Rams after claiming an 77-73 overtime road win (Box Score) on January 26.
