Old Westbury went 4-2 this past week in non-conference action in Fort Myers, Florida

FORT MYERS, FL --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury wrapped up play at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic with Saturday's 13-6 setback to the Otterbein Cardinals (6-1) from Terry Park #1 in Fort Myers, Florida.

Jesse Russo (3-for-5, 2 R, RBI) slapped a leadoff triple to right field off Otterbein starter Robert Kemer (3 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K).  Tommy Ziegen (2-for-5, 2 RBI, SB) quickly put the Panthers (7-3) ahead with a RBI single for Old Westbury's first inning lead.

Otterbein answered with five singles off Panther starter Jeremy Charles to take a 4-1 lead at the end of the first frame.

Old Westbury sliced the deficit in half with Jesse Russo's second-inning RBI single to score Paul Rapoli (2-for-4, 2 R, BB).  Ziegen then singled home Joey Walsh (1-for-1, 2 R, 4 BB) to pull the Panthers within one run.

The Cardinals increased their lead with a three-run third to make it a 7-3 game.

Mark Walton's (4-for-4, 3 RBI, 2 R) two-out RBI single in the fourth extended Otterbein's lead to five.

Old Westbury used a two-run double by Kevin Lao to make it an 8-5 game heading into the bottom of the sixth.

Nick Dorcean (2.2 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 2 BB, 1 K) took over for Charles (1-1, 5 IP, 9 H, 8 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 6 K) in the sixth, where he allowed a two-run RBI single to Walton for Otterbein's 9-5 lead.

Rapoli cracked a one-out triple into right before Carlos Balmaceda made it a three-score game with a RBI single in the seventh.

Otterbein tacked on four more runs in the eighth to take a 13-6 lead.

Terrell Dorsey (2-0, 3.1 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 4 K) earned the Cardinals' win and Nick Muse (2.2 IP, H, BB, K) picked up his second save of the season.
