FARMINGDALE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury baseball (19-12, 7-3 Skyline) fell 2-1 and 1-0 in Sunday's Skyline Conference road doubleheader to the Farmingdale State Rams (13-12, 8-2 Skyline) from Rams Field.

Game 1: Farmingdale State 2, Old Westbury 1
Jesse Russo set the plate with a leadoff walk in the first inning off Ram starter Matt Seelinger (3-1, 9 IP, 6 H, R, 2 B, 9 K). Joey Walsh's (2-for-3) single advanced Russo to third before Tommy Ziegen's sacrifice fly gave Old Westbury a 1-0 lead.

Brandon Ernest (2-for-3, RBI, R, SB) tied the game in the third with a RBI single to score Anthony Gigante off Panther starter Trey Pizzutello (3-2, 8 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, BB, 2 K).

Farmingdale State took the lead for good in the sixth with Dalton McCarthy's two-out RBI single to score Ernest for the game-winning run.

Game 2: Farmingdale State 1, Old Westbury 0
Panther starter Daniel Aguilo (5-2, 6.2 IP, 5 H, R, 0 BB, 3 K) retired his first nine batters before Nick Attardi's (2-for-3) fourth-inning single erased the no-hit bid.

Old Westbury was unable to capitalize on its best scoring opportunity in the fourth as Ziegen was stranded on third with an inning ending strikeout by Paul Rapoli.

Farmingdale State used a two-out rally in the seventh inning to earn Sunday's sweep. Domenic Palumbo singled and advanced to second on a passed ball before Ryan Gaffney doubled home the game-winning run.

Russo (2-for-3, SB) singled twice and Lao added a base hit as Rams' starter Kevin Martinez (ND, 4.2 IP, 3 H, BB, 5 K) scattered three hits. Reliever David Otero Jr. (3-1, 0 BB, 4 K) tossed 2.1 innings of no-hit ball to earn the Rams' win.
