OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse (5-9, 3-2 Skyline) closed out its home schedule Saturday with a 12-10 Skyline Conference Senior Day win over the Maritime Privateers (4-7, 2-3 Skyline) from Panther Park.

Prior to opening draw, seniors Courtney Gallagher (2013-16), Gabriella DiPierno (2013-16) and Christine Fernandez (2014-16) were honored with Old Westbury's annual Senior Day Ceremony for their dedication to SUNY Old Westbury Athletics.

Gallagher found Halle Johnson 4:49 in to give Old Westbury the early lead. Johnson's goal ignited a 6-0 Panther run that included a trio of goals from Sara Bey. Maritime answered with a 5-0 run sparked by Catherine Pfundstein's goal at 13:23. Taylor Guarneri fed Johnson at 4:36 to send the Panthers into intermission with a 7-5 lead.

Johnson opened the second-half scoring by finishing Guarneri's pass for Old Westbury's 8-5 lead. Old Westbury increased its lead with 17:41 remaining as Gallagher netted her 100th career goal to cement her name in the record books as the program's first-ever 100-goal scorer. Krista Deleva scored twice during Maritime's 4-1 spurt to tie the game at 9-9 with 12:11 left. Guarneri replied at 10:48 with her 13th goal of the season followed by DiPierno finding Johnson for the game-winning goal with 8:23 remaining to register her career-best fourth score of the game. Gallagher tacked on her 12th goal of the season at 6:34 before Deleva settled the 12-10 final with 2:29 showing on the clock.

Gallagher finished with two goals, two assists, five ground balls, four draw controls in addition to eclipsing the 100 caused turnover plateau with two on the day. Bey's day included her recording her 11th career hat trick to go along with one assist, four ground balls, three draw controls and three caused turnovers. Ashley Gugliuzzo (5-9) made 11 saves to secure Old Westbury's win.

Meghin Paczkowski (2-4) stopped nine shots in defeat for Maritime. Jane Quinn controlled eight draws while Deleva totaled four goals and two assists to pace the Privateers.

FARMINGDALE STATE RAMS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the road Tuesday (Apr. 26) for a Skyline Conference showdown versus the Farmingdale State Rams at 3 p.m. in Farmingdale, New York.
