Skyline Conference Standings

FARMINGDALE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse (5-10, 3-3 Skyline) fell 17-11 Tuesday afternoon to the Farmingdale State Rams (6-9. 5-1 Skyline) in Skyline Conference road action.

Brittany Rosino broke the scoring 1:24 in to give the Rams the early advantage. Rosino then added back-to-back goals before Kristen Keller found the back of the net to put Farmingdale State ahead by four with 17:34 remaining. Sara Bey answered for Old Westbury 27 seconds later with her 20th goal of the season. Down 5-1, Courtney Gallagher, Danielle Weir and Natasha Treuman all scored to slice Old Westbury's deficit to two (6-4) with 8:34 left. Rosino responded with a pair of goals to ignite a 5-0 Ram run for an 11-4 halftime lead.

Farmingdale State opened the second half with a 3-0 spurt to take a 14-4 lead. Weir and Bey countered before the Rams answered back with two goals to maintain the 10-goal lead. Gallagher scored with 2:42 remaining and Bey assisted on three of Treuman's four goals down the stretch to settle the 17-11 final.

Bey finished with a career-high three assists to go along with two goals and five draw controls to pace the Panthers. Treuman registered five goals and three draw controls. LaChaye Allen picked up three ground balls and Taylor Guarneri caused two turnovers. Ashley Gugliuzzo (5-10) made eight saves in defeat for Old Westbury.

Krista Spagnoletta (6-9) stopped seven shots to secure the Rams' victory as Rosino finished with a game-high seven goals.

UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMY MARINERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains on the road for Thursday's (Apr. 28) non-conference showdown versus the United States Merchant Marine Academy Mariners at 7 p.m. from Captain James Harvey Tomb Field in Kings Point, New York.
