OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer opened the 2016 season with a 4-2 setback at home Saturday afternoon to the Mount Aloysius Mounties (2-0-0).

Kiera Bills opened the scoring in the 28th minute to give the Mounties the early lead. Melissa Outsen headed home a pass from Mayra Bonilla for Old Westbury's first goal of the season in the 28th minute.

With the scored tied at 1-1, Cheyenne Kuncher put Mount Aloysius back in front just 1:32 into second-half play. Old Westbury answered in the 65th minute when Outsen put home a ball from Sarah Roslonowski to make it a 2-2 game. Kuncher would then complete her hat trick with goals in the 74th and 82nd minutes to secure the win.

In the end, Mount Aloysius held the advantage in shots (21-13), shots on target (15-8) and corner kicks (9-2). Outsen led Old Westbury with four shots, while Edania Martinez followed with three.

Mary Clark (0-1-0) made six saves and allowed three second-half goals after Jessica Tuckruskye stopped five shots with one goal allowed during the first half for Old Westbury. Zara Apakoh (2-0-0) collected six saves to secure Mount Aloysius' win.

STATEN ISLAND DOLPHINS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury remains at home next Saturday (Sept. 10) to take on the Staten Island Dolphins in non-conference action at 12 p.m. from Panther Park.
