OLD WESTBURY, NY ---
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball used a come-from-behind victory Saturday evening to claim an 84-82 Skyline Conference Senior Day win from the visiting Farmingdale State College Rams (17-6, 13-1 Skyline) inside Clark Athletic Center.  With the win, Old Westbury (15-7, 11-2 Skyline) snapped Farmingdale State's 13-game winning streak while extending its own hot streak to 10.

Prior to tip-off, the 2016 Skyline Conference Championship team was celebrated with a banner unveiling ceremony followed by seniors Lylle Ryals (2015-2017), Luckens Victor (2014-2017), Jamail Stanley (2015-2017) and Stephon Odle (2013-2017) being honored with Old Westbury's annual Senior Day Ceremony for their dedication to SUNY Old Westbury Athletics.

Trailing 10-9 with 16:25 remaining, Ryals connected from deep to spark Old Westbury's 30-8 run from 16:17 to 7:48 to push the lead to a game-high 21 points (39-18).  Farmingdale State responded with a lay-in by George Riefenstahl to ignite a 20-7 run over the final 7:04 to trim the double-digit deficit to eight (46-38) heading into intermission.

Ali Mableton knocked down a free-throw to kickstart a 15-2 run from 19:44 to 12:50 as Farmingdale State regained a 53-48 lead.  Stanley sank a pair of free-throws as Old Westbury countered with a 9-3 run to retake a brief 57-56 lead with 11:17 left in the second half. Farmingdale State held the lead for a stretch of 9:52 in crunch time before Ryals' layup gave Old Westbury an 81-80 lead with 28 seconds showing on the second-half clock.  Stanley Baker's free-throw extended Old Westbury's lead to two (83-81), and with four seconds left, Ryals' free-throw sealed the 84-82 final.

Stanley finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal to collect his 16th double-double of the season (29th career).  Preston Powell scored 15 of his 18 points (5-of-12 3FG) in the first half while Ryals  followed with 16 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and one steal.  Victor added nine rebounds (seven offensive) and two blocks off the bench.  Odle chipped in with a game-high six assists and three steals.

In the end, Old Westbury connected on 39.4 percent (26-of-66) from the field, 30.8 percent (8-of-26) from 3-point range and 77.4 percent (24-of-31) from the free-throw line.  By comparison, Farmingdale State hit on 50.7 percent (34-of-67) from the floor, 25 percent (4-of-16) from beyond the arc and 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from the charity stripe.  Old Westbury won the boards battle, 45-39, scoring 16 second-chance points off 18 offensive rebounds.  The Panthers held the advantage in steals (8-7) and blocks (5-3) while scoring 22 points off 16 Ram turnovers.
