Jessica Rini broke the scoring ice with a jumper and Maite Gritsko sank a trio of free throws to give the Knights a 5-0 lead 1:30 in.  Mount Saint Mary limited Old Westbury to just one shot attempt before a jumper by Tori Bellings at 8:01 put the Panthers on the board.  Mount Saint Mary twice pushed its first-quarter lead to six and took a 14-12 advantage into the second period.  Trailing for the game's opening 11:09, Charlotte Renker's layup gave Old Westbury its first lead (15-14) with 8:51 left in the half.  Old Westbury put together an 8-0 run over the stretch of 6:01 to go up by four (18-14).  Bellings later landed a 3-pointer with 3:43 remaining and Davida Warren sank a free throw 1:20 later to expand the lead to six (22-16).  The Panthers held Mount Saint Mary to just four points in the second quarter to lead 22-18 at intermission.

Old Westbury grew its lead to eight (27-19) with a Renker layup followed by Destiny Marino's 3-pointer that capped a 17-5 run spanning 13:49 of play to go up 27-19 with 7:42 remaining in the third period.  After Mount Saint Mary cut its deficit to five (30-25), the Panthers answered with a Bellings jumper and a La'Niya Clark 3-pointer to increase the margin to a game-high 10 points (35-25).  The Knights responded with a 7-1 spurt over the final 1:57 to trail 36-32 at the end of three.  Playing ahead for the final 28:51, Renker's three-point play with 2:36 showing on the fourth-quarter clock made it a 46-38 game.  Mount Saint Mary scored four-straight points to pull within four (46-42) with 1:31 left.  Old Westbury's climbed to seven points (49-42) down the stretch before the Knights scored five straight to slice the deficit to two (49-47) with 12 seconds remaining.  Old Westbury put the game away with free throws by Marino and Bellings before Monique Joseph's layup settled the 53-47 final.

Renker, who was named the Skyline Conference Championship Most Outstanding Player, led the way with 15 points (4-of-7 FG, 7-of-9 FT), 15 rebounds and a block to register her 16th double-double of the season (27th career).  Bellings followed with 14 points and four steals.  Joseph chipped in with 10 rebounds (nine offensive), eighth points and a game-high five steals.  Bridgid McNeill swatted a game-high three blocks while Warren corralled seven rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench.
