OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury softball faced 5-1 and 11-10 Skyline Conference setbacks Saturday afternoon to the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (11-13, 6-4 Skyline) from West Field in Valhalla, New York. Old Westbury (9-9, 2-8 Skyline) has lost their last 10 games to Mount Saint Vincent dating back to 2014.

Game 1: Mount Saint Vincent 5, Old Westbury 1
Old Westbury broke the scoring ice in the first inning as Amelia Cariddi (3-for-3) slapped a RBI double to right center off Dolphin starter Rachel Heizer (W, 5-6: 7.0 IP, 5 H, R, ER, 6 K) to score Lauren Bloom for the lone Panther run.

Mont Saint Vincent responded in the bottom of the frame with two runs scored off Bloom (L, 4-2: 6.0 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 4 ER, BB, 3 K). Sophia Herrera hit a leadoff double before rounding home off Alanna Alioto-Reyes' RBI single to knot the game at one. Two batters later, Taylor Milata singled to right center to bring home Heizer for the game-winning run (2-1).

The Dolphins tacked on three insurance runs in the fourth inning to claim the 5-1 final.

Game 2: Mount Saint Vincent 11, Old Westbury 10
Trailing 8-0 after three innings of play, Old Westbury scored four runs in the fourth and six more in the fifth to grab a 10-8 lead. Otilia Bernal's two-run double capped the fourth inning scoring. Jessica Livingston (2-for-4, 2 R) laced a RBI triple to right field to open the fifth inning scoring. Amanda Neenan slapped a two-out RBI single to score Samantha Arcese, followed by a Lauren London (2-for-3, R) two-run single to drive home Nicole Baron and Bernal for Old Westbury's 10-8 advantage.

Mount Saint Vincent answered in the sixth with a Milata RBI double off Baron (L, 4-4: 6.2 IP, 18 H, 11 R, 5 ER, BB, 2 K) to slice the deficit to one (10-9).

Milata put the game away in the seventh with a two out, two-run walk-off double to settle the 11-10 final.

Heizer (W, 6-6: K) worked 2.1 innings of no-hit relief to earn Mount Saint Vincent's win.
