Treuman scores 150th goal to power @OW_Panthers Women’s Lacrosse past Mount Saint Vincent, 20-8

Old Westbury closes out its home schedule Tuesday (Apr. 24) with a Skyline Conference affair against St. Joseph’s College (L.I.)

RIVERDALE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse held a 10-goal halftime lead Saturday afternoon to earn a 20-8 Skyline Conference road win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (3-7, 0-5 Skyline) from Athletic Field at Marillac in Riverdale, New York.   Old Westbury (4-9, 3-2 Skyline) has won four-straight games against Mount Saint Vincent to lead the all-time series 4-2.

Alicia Forgione broke the scoring ice 55 seconds in to give Mount Saint Vincent its lone lead of the game.  Old Westbury answered with five-straight goals as Natasha Treuman and Halle Johnson both scored twice to key the run.  The Panthers used an 8-1 spurt to close out the final 16:54 to lead 13-3 at intermission.  Johnson's score with 13:32 remaining put Old Westbury ahead 9-2 for her program-leading sixth-career game-winning goal.  

Cameron Isnardi opened the second-half scoring 31 seconds in with her second goal of the game to push the lead to 11 (14-3).  Treuman became Old Westbury's first-ever 150-goal scorer at 23:16 with her fifth goal of the game for the 15-4 advantage.  LaChaye Allen scored her career-best fourth goal of the game with 20:28 remaining to build Old Westbury's lead to 12 (16-4).  Johnson set a career high with her fifth goal of the game to extend the lead to 12 (18-6) with 8:14 showing on the second-half clock.  Moments later, Treuman scored her seventh goal of the game before Roseann Cox netted Old Westbury's final tally with 1:33 remaining.

Treuman finished with seven goals (27th-career hat trick), three draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls to lead Old Westbury.  Isnardi, who registered four points (two goals, two assists), set a program record with 12 draw controls while Danielle Weir followed with eight to tie her career high.  Johnson tallied her 10th-career hat trick to go with three caused turnovers.  Ashley Gugliuzzo (4-9) turned away 10 shots to secure Old Westbury's win.

Allyson Weakliem (3-7) made 15 saves in defeat for Mount Saint Vincent.  

ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE (L.I.) GOLDEN EAGLES UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury closes out its home schedule Tuesday (Apr. 24) with a Skyline Conference showdown against the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Golden Eagles (5-7, 3-2 Skyline) at 4 p.m. from Panther Park.  The Panthers are 0-7 all time versus St. Joseph's.
