MANHATTAN --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer fell 3-2 in overtime Saturday morning to the City College of New York Beavers (5-3-0) in non-conference action from Randall's Island in Manhattan. Old Westbury's record now moves to 2-6-0 on the season.

Alicia Pirone found Brianna Williams 53 seconds into the second half for her fifth goal of the season to give Old Westbury a 1-0 advantage. CCNY responded with the equalizer as Gabrielle Duchaussee finished Amy Gomez's feed in the 57th minute past Panther goalie Alexa Higgins (2-6-0). In the 74th minute, Shauna Henderson netted home her first-career penalty shot past Beaver goalie Catherine Langkamp (3-1-0) for Old Westbury to regain the lead (2-1). Susan Aracena was fouled in the box in the 77th minute and converted on her penalty strike to send a 2-2 game into overtime.

Aracena scored the game-winning goal off a free kick in the 94th minute to settle the 3-2 final.

Higgins made 17 saves to register her 10th-career double-digit saves total for the Panthers while Langkamp stopped five shots to claim the win for the Beavers.

CCNY held the advantage in shots (40-10), shots on goal (20-7) and corners (7-1).

SARAH LAWRENCE COLLEGE GRYPHONS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury (2-6-0, 1-0-0 Skyline) returns home Monday (Sept. 24) for a Skyline Conference showdown with the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons (2-2-1, 0-1-0 Skyline) at 4 p.m. from Panther Park. The Panthers are 3-1 against the Gryphons since 2014.
